Cezar Cretu leaves the home tournament to the applause of the people from Iași

Iasi tennis player Cezar Creţu, 21 years old, 428th place ATP, was eliminated in the first round at the Concord Iași Open, after being defeated by the German Louis Wessels, world number 267.
Almost two meters tall, the "huge" German player won in two sets, score 6-4, 6-2, after making the most of his main weapon, service.
In the first set, they went head to head until 3-3, at which point the German made a break that proved to be decisive.
The second set started with a break made by the German. Caesar had a good chance to recover his service at 1-3, when he led 30-0, but Wessels came back with the same weapon and later distanced himself at 5-2, with another break.
Victory in two sets for the German Louis Wessels, 6-4, 6-2, at the end of a match in which Cezar Cretu from Iași showed a good tennis, the strong service making the difference in favor of the opponent.
In the second round, Wessels will play with the Spaniard Pablo Andujar, the second favorite of the tournament.
