"I am very happy to be here and have the opportunity to play at home, in Iași. I think this tournament can be quiet in the WTA 250 category, with how well it is organized and I hope that the tournament will grow from year to year. The tournament in Iași is extremely well rated, with good players. Even though there are two more WTA tournaments this week, I think this one is at the level of 250,000 in terms of players and organization. It's a hard journey on my part, but I'm not afraid. I believe I have the necessary weapons. Clay is my favorite surface, I will take it match by match and hope to reach the final. It would be an extremely beautiful final between two Romanians (n.r. Ana Bogdan is on the opposite side of the tableau). I think the tournament would accomplish all of its goals. And for the spectators, but also for the tournament, it would be extremely nice to have two Romanians in the final. The crowd was amazing at the first match, I'm glad the spectators came to support me. I thank the people of Iași for their support and I hope they will come in large numbers to the next match as well".
