The Spaniard Pablo Andujar, the favorite no. 1 at the “Concord Iași Open” 2020. Marius Copil is the the 8th seed
The 2020 edition of the ATP Challenger 100 tournament "Concord Iași Open", the first edition of the largest tennis tournament in Romania, will begin on Monday, September 14, with the matches on the main draw.
Another Spaniard, Jaume Munar, is the favorite no. 2, the Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech and the Austrian Yuri Rodionov being the 3rd and 4th seeds.
In the first round of the singles event, Marius Copil will meet the Chilean Marcelo Tomas Barrios Vera, Filip Cristian Jianu, beneficiary of a Wild Card plays against the Russian Teymuraz Gabashvili, and Cezar Cretu, also beneficiary of a Wild Card offered by the organizers, against the Japanese Hiroki Moriya.
David-Nicholas Ionel, the third Romanian on the main draw to whom the organizers offered Wild Card, will find out his opponent after the end of the Qualifying matches.
"Concord Iași Open", ATP Challenger 100 Category tournament, endowed with total prizes worth 88,520 euros, enjoys the support of Iași City Hall and appreciates the interest shown by private companies in Romania: Concord Service Center, Nera Computers, Certus Software, Coriolan Aur Smarald, Albrau Prod, Unirea Hotel Complex, Texdata and Lenovo.
